Exactly! If anything like that had happened to me the very last thing I would want is someone else's baby, and to not be screaming the place down the minute you realise your baby is dead is totally unrealistic and unbelievable - but that's soapland for you! Never mind the fact that several people saw baby Moon yet no-one noticed the dead baby was different in any way - never mind the club foot and probable different birth weights etc.
