A lot of family relatives who left the show are never mentioned when a character they are related to dies:

Example Steph: Debbie, Craig, or Jake didnt return, and werent mentioned.

True and they should be mentioned. It would be realistic if the actors returned just for a characters funeral but obviously that wouldn't come to fruition because some might not want to return...

They should though, its only like one episode. Characters always come back in like Corrie or Enders for funerals, rarely in Hollyoaks.

Yep, I mean Craig is only in Dublin, and Debbie is still singing on a boat?? And I remember when she did come back for a one off ep, might've been her wedding. I mean, they were all in it years, would've been great to see the Deans back together

I know it's difficult to track down actors and get them for a one off appearance. If this was the case I would actually be happy if the characters were acknowledged.

Frankie could have spoken to Jack and said something along the lines of... 'It was great to see Craig this afternoon, I only wish it was under better circumstances.' Jack replies with 'Yes and I was sorry that he had to get back to Dublin so soon'

Another character could ask where Tom is and get a response that he's with Debbie in his room.

This way there is some continuity and it's not exactly hard to write this into the script.

Yep, they basically concentrated on the last few years of her life, Max and Gilly and Tom. When she has been in it years and has loads of connections

Gilly shouldn't have had that much of a say really, epecially by being a violent agressive idiot. Hate what they've done to his character

yeah this new producer better not go on an axeing spree! The cast is fine as it is (bar Ricky, Ruby, Liberty)

New producer, hope he makes it better than PM

PM was oaky, but he made the show confusing, and introuced boring characters. Other than that I liked some of the new characters and s/l so contuine with that.

If they lose Gilly, Duncan, his sister and the copper the show will be good then.

, I really like the O'Connors and the Costello's too.

Mitzeee is hardly ever in it, and I dont like the charcter of bredan lol, just my thoughts. I dont like the ste/bredan s/l so I cant warm to him.

The Oconners are oaky, but like Mitzee are never in the show, shame really as I think they have potential to be great.

I must admit I do like the Costellos, I only liked riley and heldi before, but this week Ive really warmed to Carl, Jasmin or Jason and Seth.

Apart from that, the new students are never used, apart from leeanne who is sometimes funny other times annoying.

Plus we have Ethan and Liberty who are boring.

I don't really understand why they created Ethan, especially after they cast Logan in Later.

PM said that they didn't have any plans to bring in anyone from HO Later, they did this before so why not this time?. Although Liam came to the village again briefly for Jem's exit, the actress it seemed never wanted to join the show in the first place and only joined to boost her profile apparently

Yeah, I appreciate the comment said about Later and how they had already enough newbies on the show. But surely Ethan and Logan had been planned months ago I would have thought.

When they sat down and looked at the bigger picture, didn't it come up that they were in mind of creating a new copper. Yet it seems in this case they created two.

I think Logan has had more of an impact on the show over Ethan.
