It'd be easier to list what I didn't love: chavs and the size.

I bet Scotish/Welsh/Irish people aren't even patriotic, it's just the idea that they're mentioned in relation to England which makes them go Apesh!t OTT with patriotism

Don't be stupid. Speaking for myself I'm not patriotic but that was just an idiotic comment. Plenty of Scottish, Welsh and Irish people are very patriotic. To claim it's all some sort of stage show put on to show up the English is riddiculous and highly insulting to a large proportion of people. The English are allowed be patriotic but when others do it it's for show?

I'll bet any amount of money that you meant a bit of it. Not that you will admit to it. In fact to be fair the more I think about it you probably have a point in a few cases.

You did not use any smileys and it was not exactly coming from a known master in the art of edgy, sarcastic posts. I cannot read minds .

It's a new years resolution.

The Scots, Welsh and Irish are extremely patriotic and I admire them for it, but I have to disagree with your statement that the English are allowed to be patriotic. Apparently it's wonderful and admirable for anyone to love their country, but not if you're English because then you must be a racist.

Our lack of war, famine, drought, earthquakes, hurricanes etc.

I'm shedding a tear. You can still openly celebrate being English. It's only an ironically intolerant, overly PC minority who wish to stop you. The Daily Heil likes to take this minority group and embellish them into a monster that wants to ROB YOUR CIVIL LIBERTIES ~~~.

Celebrate your culture and country all you want. Most people fully respect and accept that. Stop making out as if it's a general rule of life that the poor English are not allowed to be patriotic.

Yes,so do I, but I don't reserve my flag flying to football matches and St George's Day, I fly mine 365 days a year from my balcony and if people don't like it, TOUGH. Depends which council you live under - some have banned them altogether in case they offend other nationalities
