That other great bastion of journalism Celebritain exaggerating the officialness of a Daily Star story, though this is pretty much confirmation, unless it's been a really slow week for celeb news, why spend 4 days and 5 articles covering the relaunch of a show that you don't have reason to believe is coming back? Even if you are the bloody Star.

Not really conclusive proof of confirmation but it is something.

The article is old but it's not an April Fools, just that site (deliberately) reading too much into a tabloid story. The only source a confirmation can come from is C5 or Endemol.

http://www2.dailystar.co.uk/news/vie...UMMER-OF-BRUV/

Not a line up reveal as to be expected just a fantasy one, however, does say a deal *will* be signed in the next few days (so if there will be an announcement Monday, unless the negotiations team work Sundays, expect it Monday night, more likely to be Tuesday or Wednesday though).

And a special “Summer of Bruv” will start with a celebrity version of the hit show in mid-August.

It will run for four weeks and will be directly followed by Big Brother 2011 in September.

Loving the ''Big Brother 2011''

The source said work had also started on the existing Big Brother house. But it will remain the same house that it’s always been – just better.

Our insider added: “It will still have things like the Diary Room. The show’s format will also stay the same so fans don’t have to worry.

“It will still be the same programme that they’ve all grown to love over the years but with a bigger, brighter and sexier future.

“It’s going to have a bit of a revamp with some new features but all the favourite items will be back including the 24-hour live feed.

Sounds promising although is probably made up like usual.

I'm almost certain that if the backbone of the article, i.e. BB returning on C5, is true, that the source/insider they're quoting is old Desmond himself.

I very much doubt things like the weather really factored into the decision. Desmond wants BB back on air this summer, that can't be done this late, so CBB will act as a lead in to an autumn run instead, allowing the Star to print cheesey suggestive "sizzling summer" type articles speaking of sex snugs and naked saunas throughout May as usual.

It's pointless to take anything as truth unless it comes from the horse's mouth itself. I won't believe it's coming back until we get an official press release, anything else is just rumours to me.

I'm not even sure I want it to come back to be honest.

I want it back but i dont want the old house.

It needs a complete revamp and a new house would be exciting as fcuk.

Endemol are hardly going to let the money they've spent on renewing the plot at Elstree go to waste are they?

Plus Desmond clearly (if true) wants the show on air this summer, making it near enough impossible to find a location for and erect a house of even the standard of Borehamwood's in time.

Lets just stop for a moment. Daily Star is owned by Richard D Himself. And they're reporting Big Brother stories? Bit of a clue? Also the fact that the house is allowed to stay until 2013? Why keep it there if it wasn't going to be used? All these reports are getting some sort of source somewhere. I think if Big Brother wasn't going to return these reports wouldn't be made, so i think its safe to say somewhere along the lines of this year, Big Brother will return and with a unexpected bang

I hope it is coming back and feel more postive now than for a fair few months, it is an advertising dream,it will generate more income for Channel 5 and do wonders for Channel 5s viewing ratings.

Too good a chance to miss and I am sure if and once a deal is done they won't want to hang about.

Marcus Bentley should be on it. The house will be important too i suppose but the main thing is the people going on. That is the main thing which will determine if it is good or not.

I was on the fence about BB coming back.

But channel 5 promising to be "better than channel 4 ever were", "stars", scum from the Only Way is Essex means there's no way i'm watching.

And on what planet do these "journalists" believe Cheryl Cole would be hosting the show. She clearly wants to try her hand at breaking into the US, whether she manages it or not I doubt she'd bring her profile down to the level of channel 5 and BB. lol
