I used to be like that Caitlin. Once you admit to yourself that you're gay/lesbian/bi/whatever then you get used to it and it gets easier to talk about irl.

thanks, I can talk to my friends about it, but Im scared it goes round school and gets back home some how. Im also scared people gunna be like ewww when they see me. and what people think about me.

Lmao well you're gonna have to come out to your parents sooner or later but I can see why you think that. The majority of parents are ok if their child is gay - mine were.

If people change their opinion on you because of it, it says a lot more about them then it does about you

That's natural to feel that way, me and pretty much every other gay/bi person I know felt exactly the same way before coming out, building it up to be one of the worst things in the world, then finding it actually more.. normal than you could have ever imagined. Though I do know this probably won't help because you'll still be worried as I and everybody else was, but when/if you do eventually feel comfortable enough about it to be completely open about it, you'll be surprised at how many people really don't mind/care about what you are.

Well disappointed doesn't necessarily mean they'll hate you for it or something. It might take them a little while to get used to it at first but its a big announcement to make right? If they are intolerant of who you are though then that isn't right and after all you were born this way.

thank you, and honestly it does help. Earlier I was starting to regret saying anything but I think it will help me. I know that in the end it will all be okay, its just that i don't know where to start and how I will get there.

Ninastar, I wouldn't worry too much about labelling yourself anything other than 'You'.

At this stage don't worry about coming out and how to come out until you feel completely ready for it. Take your time - it's your time.

I waited until my parents more or less 'knew' I was gay before I mentioned it. I only sat them down because they were worrying about me as they didn't know another gay person and I had to explain that I was sensible, could look after myself and that there wasn't a problem.
