Ratings must be bad over here aswell.. No point in showing it that late though because obviously they are just gonna get worse.

I watch along with America so it doesn't bother me too much, but my mum watches it on C4 an she barely stays awake past the first 15 mins when it's on at 11

lol, I feel her pain I might have to start watching it online, it wouldn't be so bad if it was on that late on a weekend night but not when I have to get up for work the next morning

Apparently the ratings are terrible on both sides of the atlantic....I watched the first 2 episodes but then forgot about it.

It's actually pretty good

I averages around 300k here I think, dunno how other shows do at 11pm.

In the US it has been getting around the 4 mil mark, but it dipped below 4 mil last week

NBC cancels 'The Event' and 'Law & Order: L.A.'

I’ll tell you what The Event is not: A second season renewal.

NBC is passing on picking up its sci-fi action-drama for another round.

Though the series about aliens covertly living among us started strongly for the network, it faded gradually in the ratings and, after its winter hiatus, fell below the line. Event averaged 7.4 million viewers and a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating once you add in DVR use, which just wasn’t enough for a costly and serialized show. On the other hand, Chuck just got a pickup.

Meanwhile, Dick Wolf’s attempt to move his franchise to the City of Angels failed, too: NBC has dropped Law & Order: Los Angeles.

The Event looking for pick-up Outside of NBC

Talks are underway with at least one distribution partner to take over the serialized drama. The Event executive producer Steve Stark wouldn't comment, but I've heard new original programming player Netflix's name tossed around. Word is that there has been interest from several cable and digital entities, and the Event producers. Stark said that they are exploring the opportunities with are exploring the opportunity with the "full support" of the studio, UMS. "NBC has been an amazing partner, it launched the show beautifully," he said. Added creator Nick Wauters: "We have a dedicated fan base, and we promised them we will deliver one way or another and will continue to tell our stories."
