yep! line a ramequin or espresso cup with cling film with quite a lot round the edge, rub the clingfilm with a but of oil and break the egg into the cup, gather up all the clingfilm and you'll have an egg incased in clingfilm. tie up the excess and drop it into a pan of boiling water, simmer for 3-4 mins

That sounds easy! I would never have thought of that.. Does the clingfilm not melt or stick to the egg when ready??

nope. it will stick if you don't rub the clingfilm with oil first. I've not explained it very well http://http://www.b3ta.com/features/howtopoachanegg/ look at the bottom one

I do the same as Happy....drop of olive oil in hot water, swirl it round then put eggs in, but it can get a wee bit on the messy side from the egg white. This sounds a nifty little idea - must try it!

Lots of salt and pepper with buttery toast, hot cuppa - delish!

the spinny method does work but only if the eggs are ridiculously fresh. and it's easier to see if they're done in cling film because you can fish them out and give them a squeeze
