Just watched Episode 21 that was on in america last night, probably the best episode so far. Finale next week.. Looks quality

Many of you have been asking about updates regarding "The Event." I don't have anything concrete but I know there are definite discussions being had, as we speak, to breath new life into the show. No decisions have been made yet. When I hear, I'll let you all know. Other than that, today is pretty low key. I've got a lot of reading I need to catch up on.

Minutes after NBC canceled freshman The Event on the unlucky Friday, May 13, the show's creator Nick Wauters and executive producer Steve Stark told fans that there was a possibility for the sci-fi drama to continue elsewhere. That possibility is now taking shape. I hear there are talks with Syfy to pick up The Event as a miniseries. Helping things is the fact that Syfy and The Event producer, Universal Media Studios, are NBCUniversal corporate siblings. But migrating a broadcast show to cable is never easy, and I hear discussions are underway to see if it would be financially feasible for The Event to continue on Syfy. If that happens and if the mini does well, it could potentially launch another season of the alien drama. Syfy has been active post-upfronts this year. The cable network also has been kicking the tires of the Fox pilot Locke & Key, but there haven't been any substantial discussions.

I've watched the first 6 episodes and loved them, however when I read it was cancelled I feel hesitant to carry on. I'm not wanting to do any research on The Event for fear of spoilers.

Does this season end with real closure or are you left with a cliff-hanger and no resolve to the full story ?

Thats why stopping Series 2 is wrong.

Alot of things are wrapped up but the ending itself is a cliffhanger.

There is a chance of there still being a season 2 though, just on a different network with a smaller budget.

Was such a brilliant series, the failed UK ratings were for the ridiculous time slot C4 put it in. How can they not resolve the cliff-hanger, can't believe it!

Ch4 changed each week getting later and later.


Many Series end on a Cliff hanger
and at that time, a year back,
they were due to start Series 2 once the deal was co-signed.


Money is now Cut Dead faster
due to the mess the yank lenders started.

Many are having to move out of America
to get deals.

I have the full season in the bank so to speak, so I do hope they continue.

I was so disappointed when the cancelled FlashForward and I've just finished 'V' series two.

I'm now at a point where I don't want to start watching a new show if it's not going to finish. However I will start watching JJ Abrams new series Alcatraz as I trust anything he's involved will last the course.

The first half of the season was poor, but it had a 3 month hiatus were they changed a lot of things and it improved a lot
