And, I have 947 friends.

I don't get Facebook, to be honest. It says you have 945 friends, then, even when you haven't added anyone, it says you have 951 friends. Their system is really ****ed up.

To be honest, I hate when people just do "random add lol" because they think you're fit/want more friends.

If they want loads of friends, may as well get Twitter. That's where you're meant to have loads of followers.

FB Friends being what exactly....... people you click 'accept' - know very little or nothing about them, interact with very few of them, most you are never likely to meet, will probably never socialise in real life with, will never know them on any real personal level.


Someone please explain where the correlation between the above and a 'friend' is.

Who mentioned friends? Everyone knows the score with Facebook friends and that's clearly what the topic asks. Facebook friends. It's right there in the topic title.

Also ... Harry doesn't use Facebook.

I'm looking at the title thread right now and it's asking how many Facebook friends I have. Nobody living in the real world confuses Facebook friends they have never met or rarely see with real friendships. I simply felt that you pointing out the discrepancy between the two sets of friends was unnecessary, that's all. Nobody is under any illusions and this thread is not asking how many real, honest to god friends you have in your day to day life.

It was a relatively ordinary post that you jumped on with hysterical ferocity as if it was a grenade about to blow. The Harry bit was totally unrelated to your post. A harmless quip playing on Harry's well known hatred of the popular social networking platform that again you could have ignored or asked what it was about politely but instead opted to jump on with all the sane headed composure of a Batman villain holding up a bank.

people seem to get the impression that people add everyone and anyone on Facebook - I personally only add people I've met (although to be fair, I don't know why I add people I've met like twice) and...well TiBBers LOL. But that way I can be nosy and see what pages Stu likes

Yeah I've thought that, some seem to have this impression that people must just add any random person to boost their friend count but the vast majority dont do that. Obviously it's a lot more likely that a Facebook friend won't be a full fledged friend but then it's a completely different criteria
