(actually... we did as kids; usually it was when the priest came round to visit - we'd all run out the back door, into the neighbours house.....then wait till we saw the priest 'getting no reply and heading towards the neighbours house'... then we'd all run out their back door, back into grans house again!!)

The scary / funny part was: when I say we, I was in my mid teens, aunt was early 20's, and gran was in her 50's.... !!!!!!! LOL. Gran's neighbours were in their 50's too - and this happened at least once a month or so.

If we didn't manage to 'spy' the priest before we answered the door -as soon as we'd hear gran say, "Oh Hello Father, come in... " we'd belt out the back door and leave poor auld granny to it.
