Forgetting you're on camera and saying something stupid is not what Jeff did. Everyone forgets they're on camera sometimes, so they say words that shouldn't be used, such as ********t, n****r, etc. I can forgive someone for that if they don't use it to intentionally disparage someone else.
What Jeff did was completely different. He expressed his beliefs that gays shouldn't be allowed to work with children, thus implying that if you're gay, you're also a pedophile. That doesn't just slip out, and it's not a mistake. It's what he truly thinks. Jeff is ignorant.
