So from August 1st (to much shoppingtelly) 3 hours of TELESHOPPING will be broadcast on a nightly basis across the entire MTV portfolio of channels (MTV, MTV Hits, MTV Base, MTV Dance, MTV Music, MTV Classic, VH1 and VIVA),

This is good news i mean this is bad news

Viva has had teleshopping on there for ages. Its only the other mtv channels that this happens to be new info for.

And of course who cares not many people up at that time to need a music channel. I bet the barb viewing figures will have been looked at and then it will have been like whats the point if no one is watching at that time.

your 1/2 right viva has had shoppingtelly but that 6am-9am where as from the 1/8/11 it starts at 3am-9am so that is new information haha i win you lose

I fail to see how this is a loss when the impression I got from your original post is that the teleshopping is new to all those channels listed above.

Now I never said anything about them extending teleshopping on viva I said that teleshopping was already on viva so not new info for that reason.

If you had said in your OP that vivas teleshopping had been extended I would not have made a post here in the first place however you did not and made it sound like teleshopping is new to viva which it is not.

Oh dear god no. Nearly all Freesat music channels have Teleshopping at 3am, it's really annoying :/

If you have a decent freesat PVR surly you could record some music for times when the channels are off air.

Well the extra teleshopping started today so there own website is wrong.

The teleshopping was on air today starting 3am

it might be because they are puttying up prices latter this year dont forget MTV is not free as you have to pay sky to get theses channels
