Default Amy Childs leaves TOWIE after bosses veto her plan to appear on Celebrity Big Brother
The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs - arguably the most popular character on the reality show - has apparently quit after bosses nixed her plan to appear on the relaunch of Celebrity Big Brother.
Amy, 21, has made no bones of her career ambitions and was offered a rumoured £200,000 to appear on the new Channel Five version of the reality show.
But ITV2 chiefs put their foot down as they don't want TOWIE stars appearing on other reality shows.

Funny that they look down on Big Brother.

Especially since the concept FRO towie was originally created by Brian Belo....The winner of BiG Brother 8.

Don't see how TOWIE can criticize BB, considering it wasn't even able to make it onto one of the main five channels. Lets not forget even when it was axed, BB was still getting 3 times more viewers.

Exactly.

People see BB as failing and TOWIE as a huge success but BB pulls in 2 million more viewers.

And yes, it was Brian Bello who originally put forward the idea for an Essex version of the show called Totally Essex.

I'd love to see Amy on CBB, she's a very likable character and is really funny!

I've only caught bits of towie it's not my kinda thing but amy did a stint on this morning summer last week! pretty and sexy she is but she's bloody thick. she didn't know what supple meant or any idea how big 2 inches is! for those reasons she'd make an ok housemate she'd make me laugh, whether that's with her or at her though i'll let you decide
