Question Will The Daily Star pick BB or XF?

So let's say this year's X Factor doesn't fail like I'm hoping - and the usual teen girls ******ing go crazy over it again and act like it's some life changing event.

Then that means EVERY DAY in The Sun and stuff we'll have the X Factor 'scandal' you know like it was with Katie, Cher, Wagner last year?

And the judges being all over the papers aswell, Ugh.

But then we have The Daily Star [owned by Desmond who owns C5 as you all should know by now] - and the DS is always giving Big Brother coverage now.

It always did up until the end of BB9 - and then it stopped the past 2 Years, but understandably now, The Daily Star is like an advertiser for Big Brother as it's always in the front page and stuff.

But when X Factor starts and all the hype for that bollocks begins, do you think The Daily Star will shift Big Brother to the side for TXF?
Or will they stay with BB and keep that on the front page or give it the biggest amount of page space?

Big Brother, unless something massive happens in TXF then they might give it from tpage but there will always be BB coverage in there somewhere.

Whatever they think will help sell more issues of the paper will be on the front cover, so whatever story is more interesting/outrageous

It's pretty obvious that Desmond's press will be saturated with Big Brother coverage, so I expect BB will get more space.

I hope they keep BB on the front page. I'd think they would at least keep it there during midweek as XF is more of a weekend thing.

They will go where the Biggest potential readership is. X factor 10million viewers BB 2 million If its lucky DS is still a rag top and need to make money with the best circulation it can get. BB wIll be in the DS thats for sure but possibly not on the prime pages when xfactor throws out stories like confeti about the judges, contestants, people that know the contestants and people who might become judges. BB will always be the bridesmaid and never the bride in the media.

That's a pretty horrible thing to say considering part of it's popularity is throw the media and it was always known as the biggest show in the country and was constantly in the papers.

Well back in the day.

I mean in 2002 - 2008 you wouldn't be able to turn your head in a News Agents without seeing BB plastered over the papers.

It has to be Big Brother. It's now Desmond's baby.

It will pick the one that sell more papers. Which is likely to be X-Factor because its more popular than BB.

You hit the nail on the head there. It was the biggest show without a doubt but other shows came along and did it diffferently and infinately better. The BB producers were complacent they thought they could sit back and ride on the past success. They were wrong things move very quickly in TV land and a prime show quickly becomes an also ran when there is no inovation merely repetition which is where BB stalled. I doubt Endemol as a production company can turn this round they got lucky with BB but they clearly lacked the skills to develop the show to keep it cutting edge and it wll continue to decline.

This. I mean... Desmond owns both BB and DS, so like... it makes sense.

Big Brother.
And IMO if people such as Pam, Charlie Sheen (unlikely), Jedward, Kerry, Bobby Brown, Sarah Ferguson and Amy... they will be featured in a lot of papers. Because that's a pretty good lineup.
