I'd say you need a good understanding of the book though.

There are little interactive 'In the story' articles though that give you a brief overview of what's gone on up to the point you're at, which is useful if you've forgotten, so the books aren't really necessary as long as you know the story.

Ohhhhhh I get it. I've only read the first two in the last few days so hopefully I'll understand it all. xD
