Probably the best alternative and i'm not sure why more people don't take this up. If the government didn't make millions of pounds from smoking I expect these would probably be used even more than cigarette. I know someone who used one of the plastic versions. It worked for them but they still turned back. Pretty proud to say I've never taken up smoking as a full time thing and don't plan to LOL.

they made me stop smoking normal fags pretty much instantly and i loved smoking them! its now nearly a year since i started using a electronic fag and im under no illusions im still addicted to nicotine and still take in the same amount i did when i smoked normal fags but nicotine although addictive is completely harmless so it makes it easy to replace an addiction that will kill you with an addiction that is harmless(to you and people round you),odourless and a fraction of the price.

Theres a political reason why electronic cigarettes arent widely known about and that is ridiculous a few companys paid billions of pounds to licence other ways of giving up smoking i.e. johnson & johnson who own nicorette (inhalers, gum and patches) paid billions to the american goverment to have them recommend them as the only way to give up but johnson & johnson are owned by morris phillips the biggest cigarette producers on the planet
so the electronic cigarette a chinese invention is now ignored and sometimes attacked with false accusations by people that should know better it drives me mad!
these things have the ability to save millions of peoples lives yet tend to get ignored because they arent taxed or licensed it drives me crazy!! right rant over

so in short ben yes they are a way easier way of quitting than expensive patches or gum but theres no profit in that for the goverment so they dont want people to know.

If you want to feel that smoke (all be it in a different harmless form) then i recommend you try an ecig they are pretty damn close to taking a drag of a cig without actually doing it.

I tried one of these in town yesterday! There were people trying to sell them in the shopping centre.. I didn't have a lot of time to listen but I did have a shot of one. It's weird how smoke still comes out when you exhale!

Yes, I just tried one for the first time. Canada almost immediately blocked, banned, suspended them until 'further research' and cited 'the children's safety',
but,
obviously we all knew it was because the horror of losing massive tax money off of cigarettes was the real reason.

One thing that threw me off was that there wasn't that sort of.. that 'bite' from the smoke. Which is not really smoke.
You could say it was SO smooth that it was hard to believe i had inhaled anything.
Then i power-inhaled 10 times over and got what definitely seemed to be a big nicotine rush hah.

Yeah.. I think you are wise to totally accept it is still nicotine addiction but obviously this is infinitely better than smoke and tar.
There is really no comparison in terms of health.

IF governments were really interested in protecting health risks and all that they would make these tax free and just hope everyone switched asap.

But yeah I might just pick up my own and try it for a while.

I know exactly what you mean.. You don't get that blissful feeling of the smoke hitting the back of your throat. But I suppose as it's a safer way of feeding my additction, I may give it a go

I think it'll be something of a gamble buying them considering the price, but worth it in the long term if they are as good as they are said to be.

I smoke 20 fags a day. We were in this bar once and this random bloke came over. Must have knew my other mates or something. He had this electronic cigarette so I asked him if I could have a go with it. Well, I nearly broke my hand just trying to lift the thing. It is like a brick. It was heavy and you'd burn a 1000s calories a day just by having to lift it up to your lifts every time you wanted a puff. I didn't feel like it did anything either. Just a pointless product in my opinion.

were they called smoking everywhere?
beware of some unscrupulous companys that will try and entice you in with a "months free trial" and the such then they start charging you per month whether you want it or not.

A decent little starter kit should cost no more than £40.
totally wicked are great heres a nice little kit £32 http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co....3-product.html

God knows what he had you puffing on then
they do come in all shapes and sizes there are plenty that are just cigarette sized if thats what bothers you and generally the higher nicotine content you go for the more throat hit you will get.

No, I don't think that wa the name.. They wanted £49.99 for the starter kit so I may have a look at that Totally Wicked..

I must say, after trying it yesterday, I'm kind of coming round to this idea. I've stopped before using patches which was absolutely no bother as there was a very good reason for it (pregnancy) and then obviously once I was pregnant, i couldn't smoke, but the minute I thought I could have one or two, I just got excited and before I knew it, I was back to being a full time smoker.. I've tried the patches several times again and it's just too easy to have a fag instead. But I do think the efag may be easier as you kinda feel like you're smoking?...

£50 isnt so bad really i suppose especially seeing that you would have somewhere local to go back to if you had any problems with it or needed help with it.

There is a company that has kiosks in shopping centres called smoking everywhere and they are one to avoid for sure they sell a kit called an RN4081 and they are a decent little ecig but they charge about £120 for it i got the same one from amazon for £20.

That one on totally wicked is a nice little kit (i think it comes in pink as well)
you can find cheaper ecigs if you shop around but their stuff is always spot on and they have a really cool forum too where everyone is reallly helpful.

A kit and a bottle of eliquid to top your carts up with should see you good for at least a month maybe 2 to figure out if its going to work for you good luck if you take the plunge.

Like you I made no delusions about quitting the nicotine addition until....

....I found out the e-cigarette kit I bought has NO NICOTINE

May I suggest you take a close look at your packaging because you may have kicked the nicotine addiction and don't even know it.

Honestly I felt almost embarrassed because when I thought it had nicotine I never thought twice or felt any withdrawals at all and felt great!
Go figure.
The psychological power is amazing hehe. I feel like emailing Derren Brown on this or something.

But yeah.. LOVE these things. I am still smoking regular cigarettes but I can go most all day with the e-cigarette,
and,
my lungs definitely feel better. noticeably better!

Saw someone with one the other day, might give it a go actually. I'm smoking far too much

And having one in a pub sounds quite good too
