Doctor Who, Mock the Week, QI, BBC News, Newsnight, Question Time, Prime Minister's Questions, The Summer Proms, Torchwood, Top Gear, Horizon, The Sky at Night, the list goes on and on.

Radio 3 and BBC Parliament wouldn't exist without the license fee. There used to be a parliament channel before the BBC, but they gave up funding it and the BBC tookover. Classic FM? Not in a million years does that provide the variety of Radio 3. Not to mention Radio 4...
