I think he got one part of his talk wrong, when she is being nice,very rarely it is too, she is likely scheming,even her being nice has an unsavoury undertone to it.
She appeared to be being nice to Heaven when in fact she was the one who stirred it all up in the first place against her. Being nice would have been to own up to that, of course Mark knows nothing of that as to her.
