It would be nice to think Jem is looking out for her sister, but as they've never been close and always arguing I doubt that could be repaired in just a few weeks.

More like Jem is jealous that Faye seems happy.

For the record, as a fan of Aaron I do not think and never have thought he is 100% perfect
