I'm older, I've spent a fair deal of my adult life living in different places, including different countries - but have still managed to make (and keep) friends - and ones which I can socialise with when I chose to.

You have NO friends? At all? At 33 years of age, I'd have expected some friendships to have remained. Not a critisism btw, just a very honest comment.

As for the terminology that I chose to use, I'll use what I prefer to use rather than what you tell me to, (which was not plural anyway ) particularly when I wasn't entirely sure if you were male or female. It's hardly relative to the thread anyway.
