No favours at all. All she's done is shown how bitter and wretched some women can be.

Hardly any surprise that Jem doesn't have friends. I'm guessing that the mother won't have many either - and the only thing she has in life is her two daughters - who she wants/needs to exert complete control over.

As for Jem saying in the background, "Well Done Mum"..... yeah well done - for clearly showing you give more about one daughter (Jem) than your other daughter (Faye).

These pair simply cannot abide seeing Faye being happy with a man...... ie: a man who doesn't treat a woman badly, who is respectful, who has grace, manners, good breeding.

They obviously want a 5woman a night man, who likes fisting his women, peeing on them and throwing furniture about the place.
