A cynical attempt to curry favor with the multitudes. Let's be honest ... 100 quid on gifts would have been extravagant when a nice gesture like a card,cake,barbie doll or one of Jay's special tinfoil creations would have been loved by Alex.

Fake and Aaron is 100% correct.It's not like Jay or Louise are going to hang around with Tom after the show are they?
