Default Poppy day compared to Childrem in need

As a parent, whose son goes to primary school, I have noticed something odd about their fund raising.
Today, the kids had to take in 50p so they could wear something spotty fo children in need. The same happens for Comic relief, Sports relief etc. As well as this, there is raffles, Coffee mornings Etc.
The kids are also doing fund raising for Quarriers. A Zumba day, they need to be sponsored for. May I say they are all worth while causes, and one I support when I can.

Compare this with Poppy day at the wee mans school. No letters asking for support, selling poppys for a 20p donation. No Special days for 50p etc. Actually pretty much nothing. Surely just as much, if not more a worthwhile cause than the rest IMO.
Before we get the answers of, its a conspiracy ****, its not. I believe its a Society thing. Where everyone gets dictated too from TV and celebrities.

Shame on us.
