Default What Changes Should Happen to X Factor USA next season?

One Replace Steve with someone else or get him a cohost cause he's acting way too professional

Two FIRE NICOLE. Because it looked like she just voted off Drew out of Jealousy

Three Add a live band that can be seen instead of a backing tracks for the live shows. Idol does this and the american voice does this as well

knock the age limit up to 16 for soloists (and yet I'm a Rachel Crow Fan )

What are your ideas?

Replace Steve and Nicole.

I'd say Paula aswell but they can't change it too much.

Definitely need the over 16s thing in my opinion.

Drop Steve and Nicole, I don't know the show seems a bit weird. Perhaps it's because it's just sort of different on the American one or it's Steve, or maybe because it's the first season, but it just doesn't feel right

Yeah Steve is an awful presenter he is to robotic and i don't think the American Public are getting him, they need to make the VT's more like the UK versions as well that is one thing we do amazing we show what they have been doing throughout the week leading up to the live shows and concentrate on the acts life outside the X Factor a lot more

I quite like how Steve has completely lost control now though.

"Paula I need a decision.... PAULA.... A decision please Paula....... Paula I need a name"

And when he was trying to talk to Drew after she left, she started hugging someone as he was about to speak and you could just see him turning around in the background fuming with his arms up in the air

I need to add who i think should replace Steve if he does get fired. Cat Deeley She's a great host on So You Think You Can Dance! She was rumored to take Nicole's place as cohost.

Yeah, Steve needs to be replaced. Wouldn't mind if Nicole or Paula left either.

Ditch Steve in favour of a presenter that is well liked. They could even use Cat Deeley, or steal Dermot from us and send Cat over here (we don't have anyone better to do it now Holly is doing The Voice).

Move Kelly Rowland over to the American show to replace Nicole, she'll add a bit of credibility to the panel and she is a good judge here, shes just OTT and up Gary's arse

Mariah Carey should join the panel as previously planned, with Paula moving into Creative Director role with Brian

Drop LA Reid in favour of Ryan Seacrest to get a bit of banter going at each end of the panel. They can get away with him being there because he's a DJ, been on American Idol for years etc. He also bridges both American Idol and X Factor and that can only be a good thing given they're on the same channel

Up the age limit to 16 and use the British set (the American one is sort of the same but looks like someone has set fire to the front of it)

Keep LA Reid at all costs. His relationship with his boys especially Astro is great and lovely to see.

Dermot as the host....why would people think he would just be like Steve?

Also alot of people thought the judges houses were boring I think for season 2. Have two live shows where 6 acts from each catergory from Bootcamp perform without a mentor and the three highest votegetters from each catergories move on to the top 12 and then as a bonus twist everyone is randomly shuffled up and one of the four mentors pull thier name out of a hat (IE One Judge could have a Guy,Girl, Over 30 and another could have 2 girls and a group)

LA is better than Paula and Nicole, definitely. Simon is alright so I'm not too sure if I prefer him to Simon.

I'm not saying LA isn't a good judge- which he is- it just doesn't really make good TV. Ideally Simon would replace himself and return to the UK show because he has nowhere near the presence in the US that he has here so could easily find a fourth judge, keeping LA in the process, but his ego won't allow him to do that.

The American panel is terrible, its even worse than ours, and X Factor revolves just as much around the judges as it does the contestants. It wouldn't be an issue if it was like American Idol or Britain's Got Talent where the judges fade into the background and are pretty irrelevant

its the least qualified judges on the UK panel that have turned out to be the favourites and part of the best panels

That Could Work but I don't see it happening. Simon did world idol in America's Seat and he didn't like the idea after it was over. I think it could work now like Eurovision. The winning act from a country and thier mentor goes to the country where it is hosted (IE America or UK probably) and it's a 3 week special with two episode every week.

There was a rumor about the world's got talent a few months back

- Drop Steve for sure and replace him with Dermot [but only if we get to keep him as well, sure he could do both as he doesn't have to mentor anyone]
- Replace Nicole with Cheryl as she worked much better, but as that'll never happen...anyone else, just so long as Nicole goes
- Live shows need to be ten weeks long like the UK show
- Drop the silly and odd elimination structure that changes from week to week where often they announce a few acts safe in part one

I'd also suggest cutting the audition shows...four hours over two nights for two weeks is excessive, it probably works out the same amount as the UK auditions but it's spread out better [although the UK audition show structure needs to be altered also], but I assume American's are used to and like this particular aspect, so maybe not.
