Jessica Meuse was robbed.

Misha did well until Tulisa and Louis accused her of bullying, they should be ashamed of themselves.

how ironic......a little TOO ironic
By my reckoning in the EIGHT weeks of Janet in the public vote, she finished behind Marcus only ONCE, LM twice, and Misha ONCE.... So where did they get all those JANET-hating minor celebs from on xtra factor every week (apart from Corrie) ? |

Wow, Dermot wasn't lying when he kept stressing how close it was at the bottom some weeks. 1% between 6th and 11th in week two stands out.
5th out of 12 in week one and 3rd out of 11 in week two (just 5.4% behind 1st place). Bully-gate hits and she's in last place. What stats are you reading? |

You have Janet as like 11.8% in Week 8 which puts her bottom of the vote when she had 18.3% and completely wiped the floor with Misha

I think the major turning point for this series was the double elimination and Frankie's ejection. That week (including the return of Amelia) changed everything IMO, going by the results.
You had Misha B drop into the bottom two, unexpectedly (probably due to bullying comments) but recover very well the following week, the week of the double elimination. The Risk were the surprise automatic elimination - their fan base had seemingly kept them afloat and that was their one off week where the fans didn't vote as much. If they'd just been in a regular bottom two they'd have probably been saved and gone much further. I don't think they expected Frankie to escape the bottom three that week. Then, he got ejected for his use of drugs, and so they brought back Amelia. The return of Amelia saw her come top of the votes that week - her fans voted like mad because they wanted to make sure she was safe. I think that was the first nail in Janet's coffin, because all eyes were on Amelia that week. Misha dropped into the bottom two once again, this time against Kitty, and I think that was a result of Amelia returning too - all eyes on Amelia and not on the other two girls. So then the following week you had Misha getting the rebound vote and Little Mix coming out with a stellar performance. This, in turn, pushed Janet down to 3rd in the votes. Amelia dropped into the bottom two as expected. The following week, Amelia got the sympathy rebound. This pushed Janet into 4th and, IMO, the fix factor came into play once again, deciding to have a bottom two with only 5 acts left, which still doesn't sit right with me so late into the competition, and booted her out unceremoniously (Kelly Rowland abstaining was so fake, to me. She knew exactly what she was doing. Anyone who actually cared that was in her position would have voted for Misha to leave the decision up to Gary. Cop out!) - so in my opinion, Janet was a victim of circumstances and the producers trying their best to fix the competition. |

Dear All,
I would like to ask for your help if you have ever followed any talent contests in the UK (eg. The X Factor, Pop Idol...etc). I'm writing my Master thesis at the moment and I 'm trying to figure out what people think about these contests. I created a 5-minutes-long survey in this topic and it would be a huge help if you could answer the questions. you can find the survey here: http://kwiksurveys.com/?u=talent_contests Thank you very-very much in advance!!! Have a nice day. |
