I went out for a few hours, came back to find out United had won 5-0.

I am glad about all 5 different goal scores, in particular Giggs and Berbatov.

Shame Phil Jones and Ashley Young got took off with injuries. Injuries in Midfield for instance are starting to be more concering for United now but we have enough strength in depth for more but need some more quality in the CM area..

Still United are not far behind City and are pushing more.

Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs is set to discuss a contract extension with manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The midfielder, who turned 38 at the end of November, has made 15 appearances for the club so far this season in all competitions, scoring three goals.

Giggs' current deal is due to expire at the end of the season, but the Welsh winger has suggested he is not ready to follow former team-mate Paul Scholes into retirement.



"It's almost that time when I'll sit down with the manager and see what his plans are and I'll see how I'm feeling [about] playing for another season," he told the club's official website.

"At the moment I feel really good and I'm enjoying things more than ever, so we'll just have to wait and see."

Giggs was on target in the 5-0 victory over Fulham on Wednesday to continue his record of scoring in every Premier League season, and is enjoying his role as a central midfield player alongside Michael Carrick.

He added: "I love playing there. I've made no secret of that and it's probably my preferred position now."

"I said the other night it's a joy for me and Michael to play in midfield when you've got the movement in front of you like we had at Fulham."

"It makes our job so much easier when you've got three or four players making great runs when you're on the ball."

5-0 and level on points with Manchester City after WBA did us a favour.

I was concerned about the match at first looking at the squad before kick off but I got over them fears to back the lads and I was proved wrong. United only had 2 fit players available and had to play Valencia/Carrick in defence.

I am pleased Berbatov started and got a hat trick, class act and Tony V scored too plus he smiled.
