I am friends with a few non-Christian believers and I still give them Christmas cards, some are with a Muslim faith. And they are happy to recieve such cards, yes they do not have the sendimantal value for them personally, but it is a gift of good will.
If anybody is offended by "Merry Christmas" I would persoanlly would force them to go to Midnight Mass.

The laugh is: the article in question makes mention of 4 of the most morally corrupt retailers around:.....pmsl -the very places that some folk are moaning about not being able to purchase religious cards in. ![]() I know if I was that religious: I'd be purchasing my from local chapel/church etc - ensuring that the big racketeers weren't getting any profits - but it all going to the faith in which I place my trust! |

I know many people do not prefer to buy from their local because it is more expensive. Why? Because the big supermarkets sell items at ""cheap" prices with sneaky profits. So wrong.

Tbh there are only a couple of 'oldies' I send cards to..the rest is all emails and Ecards....imo the volume of cards sent at Christmas is far more damaging to the environment than it is to morality

The UK simply doesnt have as big of a Christian population as it once had, so of course there is less religeous cards.

![]() I bet you've got a stash of noveau rich cards with gorgeous Russian ladies on them, adorned with fine white furs and dripping with gold - promising all sorts of naughty goodies in Christmas Stockings. ![]() Out sinner..... out. Last edited by Pyramid*; 22-12-2011 at 07:58 PM. |

Can we refrain from getting too heated and personal in here please.
If you actually look at most Christmas traditions - the Tree, exchanging gifts, even the date itself - most of them actually pre date Christianity and stem from other religions. I see nothing wrong with the secularisation of Christmas |

Oh that's a terrible photo.....
As for flat beer in large pitcher jugs, no thank you, so terribly unladylike. In fact - is that a plastic cup I see as well......... oh no, I have far more class than that. Now weren't you complaining vehemently about this thread not being about me - yet here you are turning it right back into that.

![]() Tee hee........ I can think of far better things to be getting all full of internal rage about - a few moaners in a paper going on about being able to buy their religious Christmas cards - really is never going to one of them!! I think it's hilarious. Much ado about nothing. |

Harry I love reading through those comments, some of them show you why the world is the way it is. The UK in particular, little Britain is really a seeming mass of bigotry and intolerance

I do prefer that they smoke though. I also prefer that they are non bible thumpers. More importantly though: I don't particularly mind what kind of Christmas card they send me - though I have a preference for cute ones. |
