I disagree, there are over 700 comments on that article alone. I think people actually do care about morals but their voice is being drowned out and subversed.

700 people out of how many of a readership for that particular paper - bearing in mind comments are global and not restricted to the UK for that paper? How does that quantify pro-rata based on the amount of people who actually purchase Christmas cards globally ? The tiniest, merest drop in the ocean.

I really think it's about time people started being honest with what they think without "offending minority groups". Britain is a CHRISTIAN country and therefore we have a RIGHT to endorse it. If people don't like it be quiet, frankly. Politcal correctness sucks so bad!!! Honesty is the best policy. And mass Capatalism also sucks too!!!

And I am absolutely sure that just about every one of us who has contributed to this thread, has made a choice at some point to do something that a.n.other person would regard as immoral - depending on each individual's moral compass. Whether that by buying a rude or jokey Christmas card: or something far less palatable.

I am friends with a few non-Christian believers and I still give them Christmas cards, some are with a Muslim faith. And they are happy to recieve such cards, yes they do not have the sendimantal value for them personally, but it is a gift of good will.

If anybody is offended by "Merry Christmas" I would persoanlly would force them to go to Midnight Mass.

Tbh there are only a couple of 'oldies' I send cards to..the rest is all emails and Ecards....imo the volume of cards sent at Christmas is far more damaging to the environment than it is to morality

The laugh is: the article in question makes mention of 4 of the most morally corrupt retailers around:.....pmsl -the very places that some folk are moaning about not being able to purchase religious cards in.

I know if I was that religious: I'd be purchasing my from local chapel/church etc - ensuring that the big racketeers weren't getting any profits - but it all going to the faith in which I place my trust!

Indeed, capitalism is far too huge in society today and I find that a shame. Such a trival matter but the Price of Freddo's is a huge indication of money grabbing at it's finest. I find it so wrong that big compaines can make such huge profits and the poor get poorer.
