Did boy, 12, watch as 'his mother was stabbed 18 times' in barbaric murder at Christmas?

Quote:
A 12-year-old boy might have witnessed a woman being stabbed 18 times in a flat.

The victim and a man - who are believed to be the child's parents - were found with multiple stab injuries at the flat in Wolverhampton yesterday after concerned neighbours contacted police.

The woman died at the scene, while the man was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

A post-mortem examination carried out last night revealed the 36-year-old woman had been stabbed 18 times in the abdomen and chest, a West Midlands Police spokeswoman said.

Police were called to reports of disorder at the flat just before 8am yesterday.
Officers arrived to find a woman and a man both collapsed inside the address. A 12-year-old boy was also found at the property but it is not yet known whether he witnessed the incident, a police spokewoman said.

He is being treated as a potential witness. Neighbours claimed he had been seen at a nearby house covered in blood.

The spokeswoman refused to confirm whether the man and woman were a couple and how the boy is linked to them.

The boy is not thought to have been injured in the incident.

The man’s condition has improved and he is now in a stable condition in hospital, the spokeswoman said. Police have not named the dead woman.

A police spokesman said yesterday that officers were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Unhappy Homerton killing: Woman found stabbed after abduction

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-16384697

Quote:
A 20-year-old woman has been found dead after she was abducted from an address in east London where two other people had been stabbed.

She was taken from Brownlow Road, Hackney, at 07:10 GMT on Monday, and was later found stabbed in a car on Ryder Mews in Homerton, police said.

Just before she was kidnapped, a man aged 22 and a 24-year-old woman were attacked at the same address.

The man is in stable condition, while the woman suffered a minor injury.

Scotland Yard said it had launched a murder investigation.

A spokesman said officers were called to a row on Brownlow Road but, before they arrived, a suspect had fled in a grey Fiat Stilo car with the 20-year-old woman.

This vehicle was found abandoned in Ryder Mews, just off Homerton High Street, at about 08:30 GMT, and the woman's body was inside.

Police said they believe she is the same person who was kidnapped, although they said they were awaiting formal identification.

No further details of the suspect or any of the victims have been released.
Has there ever been such a spate of stabbing deaths in such a short time since, say, WWII ?

Teenager, 19, arrested over 'kidnap and murder of young mother, 20

Quote:
A teenager was arrested today over the alleged kidnap and murder of young mother Kirsty Treloar.

The 20-year-old alleged victim was abducted from her east London home shortly after 7am yesterday before being found dead in an abandoned car some 90 minutes later.

Officers involved in a major manhunt arrested a 19-year-old suspect at about 1pm in the Hackney area, Scotland Yard said.

A 22-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman - Ms Treloar's siblings Dean, 22, and Gemma, 24, - were also injured in the incident and were treated for stab wounds.

Mr Treloar remains in an east London hospital in a 'stable' condition. A month-old baby girl was also taken to hospital as a precaution.

Terry Tundervary, 58, a builder, said: 'They seemed to be a very friendly family. I used to say hndly ello to the girl. If it's the girl I think it is, she's got a little baby. She was a pretty girl, a very normal girl, the whole family was very friendly although I didn't know their names. I just knew them to say hello to as neighbours do. I believe the girl's dad, he may have been her step-dad, came from the US or Canada. I think he was a binman for Hackney Borough Council.'

Exclamation Three other people died after being attacked at New Year's Eve Parties.

Quote:
A teenage girl was being held on suspicion of stabbing a middle-aged man to death at a house party.

The 42-year-old victim, known only as Michael, was co-hosting the event with girlfriend Mandy O'Neill in LUTON, BEDFORDSHIRE.

He suffered a heart attack after being knifed at the party and died within an hour.

Detectives today arrested a girl believed to be aged around 15 on suspicion of carrying out the attack.

Police were initially unable to question many of the guests at the party because they were drunk.

** Separately, a 27-year-old man was attacked and died at a New Year's Eve Party in SHEFFIELD.

Police were called to the party in the early hours of yesterday morning to find the victim Joshua Green had been stabbed.

South Yorkshire Police said they launched a murder investigation after the death at the Stars and Mayfair Party Suites.

The father-of-two was assaulted on the dance floor and sustained a stab wound shortly after he arrived at the venue about 2.30am, police said.

** A man in his 20s died following an 'incident' outside a pub in TOFT MONKS, NORFOLK, police said.

Two men, aged 38 and 45, have been arrested in connection with the death.
Police said the incident was being treated as 'unexplained' but a post-mortem examination was to be carried out.

Default Bewdley fatal stabbing woman Betty Yates, 77, was ex-teacher

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england...ester-16446874

Quote:
Police have released the name of an elderly woman who was murdered at an isolated Worcestershire house.

Betty Yates, 77, was a retired teacher who had taught in the Wyre Forest area.

A post-mortem examination held overnight confirmed that Mrs Yates had died from a stab wound after she was attacked with a knife.

Her body was found by police at her riverside cottage, Riverscroft, which is off Dowles Road and about two miles from Bewdley.

A police spokesman said Mrs Yates had lived there alone since the death of her husband seven years ago.

The spokesman said she was well known locally and had a son and a daughter who do not live in the area.

She was also a member of Bewdley Civic Society and local art, book reading and walking clubs.

Her body was found by police on 4 January after officers were contacted by a friend who had been unable to contact her and was concerned for her welfare.
