can you give examples of the above in terms of celebrity. There really should be a rigid classification system. I am sure if you set up a website that did this it would become very popular?

To be fully complete, there has also to be a non-celeb (but think they are) category.

She was at one point. I class an A-lister as a celebrity that has had duration and a successful career, which she has had. She has one of the world's biggest selling albums ever.


You forget, what you may class as A-lister is different from my age range. Each generation will have their A-listers.

B List = Same as above only don't have as much talent or get paid as much.

Z List = Socialites, reality tv stars and attention seekers.

Z-list is a tricky one, as sometimes you could say some of those people overlap into categories like C and B-list, but never A-list. I don't like it when people say people like Frankie Cocozza aren't celebrities or whatever though, because they are, and to suggest they're not would be stupid. If you are known by a fairly large number of people (no, that doesn't count circles of friends before someone mentions that) and through the media then you're a famous celebrity. Most X Factor contestants become celebrities overnight because of how popular the show is, if you mention their names to people most of them will know who they are, perhaps for the wrong reasons yes, but they're still a celebrity nonetheless.

Everyone has some sort of talent. They just might not realise it.

You need some form of public recognition to be classed as a celebrity nowadays, even if you have no discernable talent. Am wondering wherein lies Natashas talents, golf balls and garden hoses possibly?
