Nah, they knew he wanted to leave so he was the obvious choice imo.

Either way it's a win for Michael if he goes tomorrow he gets to pick up his cash, be rid of that horrible woman Denise and go home to his lovely wife and then if he stays he will know most of the viewers support him and can see what is really happening in there.
