I actually think Michael has gained some fans for his truthfulness If we are to believe twitter all the time, then both Alex and Jay should have had runaway victories and winning over Aaron last year and Jay should have been beating him in the voting to save So think I will ignore twitter

I think Michael was out of order... what you say in the diary room is between BB and the public....but to say it in front of Denise in front of the rest of the housemates on live TV was really harsh. There is a time and place for everything and that was totally below the belt.
He knew he had stepped out of line because he was trying to justify himself to the other housemates afterwards.

He will certainly have lost a few votes.

Yes that was sweet when BB announced Michael and the twins and then announced the rest.

He will certainly also have gained a few too - his fan base is strong. He won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

As for trying to justify himself, the gobby HMs have attacked him for it, so all he is doing is explaining himself, though why he should have to I have no idea.
How anyone can defend the devious, lying bitch that is Denise, I really don't know.

I agree.

I loved when she was drunk the other night, going topless and him saying he'd been trying to tell everyone this was going to happen but no one would listen.....that she cannot handle her drink.

The man spoke the truth. If people reach the ages of Michael and Denise, and cannot be upfront, honest and truthful - it's a sad day.

On an off shoot - I loved hearing Denise admitting when she was doing the fake upset crying bit on the bed, with the girls coo cooing her: that she ADMITTED she had been plaguing Michael and deliberately pushing his buttons the past few weeks...... took her long enough to finally admit that eh.

So now she reaps what she sowed -and she has the temerity to play the victim!!! It's hilarious.

I have copied this post from DS as the poster has clarified quite a few things re: Denise and her emotional state and how the drinking is affecting her. Hopefully some posters will cut MM some slack:

denise... depression... ENOUGH

"I've had a look through the message board and felt compelled to write this.

There's a lot of comments on here relating to denise and her mental health. I've suffered depression the last 9 years, been hospitalised for it etc etc....
As patronising as this may sound to you, it is true; unless you have been through depression, you cannot know what it's like. I'm not going to single out people with quotes, but some of you seem to think it's something to be embarresed about, or that they know the ins and outs of it because a friend of a friend had it, or, more related to BB, that a sufferer should be wrapped in cotton wool despite them feeling well enough to put themselves into such a stressfull experience as BB.

If i applied to go in BB, i would not be allowed in because of my mental health, ~FACT. there's a good reason for this, and the rule shouldn't change because of a celebrity status.

denise suffers depression ~FACT

alchohol is a depressant, you are strongly discouraged from drinking at all by doctors whilst suffering depression, it also stops anti-depressants working,. ~FACT

denise should not be in there in the first place. this is nothing against her. this is just common sense. and the usual BB rules for "normal" people.

and as for the michael madsen comment, saying denise is emotionally disturbed.. guess what? he's right.

denise is emotionally disturbed, same way as i'm emotionally disturbed. quoted from the oxford english dictionary: "disturbed: having emotional or mental problems."
denise HAS got emotional/mental problems. that is undisputable. this doesn't mean that i'm slagging her off. having emotional/mental problems isn't something to be ashamed of.
I have heard the word "disturbed" used by doctors, as i assume denise has, and if the story of michael being sectioned is true, he'll have heard it in that context too.

let's say though, that he did say it out of nastiness, it is still the most real, meaningful, wake up call of a sentence denise has heard in there, there was more genuine care in his abrupt comment (I remind you, being disturbed mentally ill etc... is NOT an insult as so many of you seem to think it is) than has been shown to her from the other housemates.

I'm disturbed. I didn't ask for it, i'd rather not have it, but i cope with it as best i can and i'm a proud".

michael said the truth...the last labour government passed 1000s of useless laws but even they failed to pass a law that outlaws the truth. He had to say it. Touch love is the best love.

He will certainly have lost a few votes.
It just proves hes not in it to curry favor or suck up falsely for votes or no nominations. saying the truth is the ONLY was and he is the only truthful housemate

Hi TT. Long time no see, hope you are well.

thanks for posting this from another DS user. I have in other threads on here said much the same thing as this same poster has in regards to depression and drinking - but was poo pooed for stating the same facts as this DS poster's quote above.

Being emotionally unstable isn't a crime - what is a crime is the abuse that Michael is being given out here for speaking the truth about Denise - and the reason he has clearly done so is becaue Denise obviously in incapable of dealing or coping with her own problems responsibly (which she isn't doing), then no one else should have to be in the firing line, nor take the flack or backlash when they call it as it is. Some people cannot handle the truth, hurtful as it may seem: Denise is one of those people. She projects, she plays the victim and then denies all responsibility....... (until a few weeks later when it suits her as she did the other night....which also shows how utterly manipulative and sleekit she is).

Despite everything that's gone on between them, Denise just can't seem to sort herself out where Michael is concerned. What did she say to Michael last night? He was in the bedroom alone, she burst in and said "It's Frankie's birthday, come and have one drink and then you can go to bed". Who the hell does she think she is? I think most people, including me, would have told her to ******* off and mind her own business. Then she wonders why he's sharp with her and turns on the waterworks. Someone take the bottle off her...

this moral relativism is a corruption of our morals...this is why this country spends more money per head on hardened criminals than the sick and the old

the bad guy (denise) gets more sympathy and attention than the victim (michael) ok this is just a tv show. but the principle is just the same. besides shes stated shes hit her rather great husband in drunken rages before. yet shes never been arrested , shes merely profited from it by selling more books. immoral.

any abuser can fall back on , I had a bad childhood, I was drunk I didnt know what I was doing? etc utter tripe. personal responsibility must replace this corrupt moral relativism. if you are a criminal and you suffer depression. get help IN JAIL. and leave the rest of us in peace

I laughed for the sheer audacity to say it in front of everyone.

Yet, not one of the doo'gooders jumped in and condemned him there and then..... they've talked a good game after he was out in the garden.

If he goes I'd be VERY surprised because he's been quality, from start to finish. He might not be in your face 24/7 but when he chirps up, he's priceless.... and I've never even seen reservoir dogs...

What I can't stand is Denise knows the situation between them is delicate to say the least,
but she will insist when they are talking again to start harping on about past rows between them.No wonder it does his head in because it certainly does mine.
