The song that had been the Christmas/new year number one for christmas 1991 was Queen with Bohemian Rhapsody after Freddie Mercury's death.
Since I wasn't born until february 1992,then the 1992 christmas number one that year was the awful,torturous version of I will always love you by Whitney Houston,truly awful compared to Dolly Parton's original sensitive version.

I'd have much rather Queen had been Christmas 1992 than that one for sure.
