The question itself I believe assumes that all forms of life, be it human or animal are not present. If that's the case then the answer is no. |

Depends on how you define sound.
If you view sound as merely a form of energy transference being generated then the answer is yes sound will be present or does sound have to be heard by a living recipient in order to be classed as sound in that case then no. |

Sound is vibration of air, when a tree falls, those same vibrations of air are created, whether there is anyone there to hear it or not, the same waves of air are created.
Witnesses are not required in physics. Animals being there have nothing to do with it. Even if there was no other living thing on the planet, it would still make a sound(vibrations of air).
