Default Joe's hospital drink and drug reforms

Joe's hospital drink and drugs reforms

i have been in causality's,
every night of the week,
and unless we reform,
the N-H-S looks bleak.
everyone is paying tax,
and deserves a standard of care,
now i am going to be controversial,
standing up over your body will be every hair.
we need causality's to split,
i don't care how many billions we spend,
because we are not all equal,
and yes my policy i will defend.
drink and drugs are the issue,
the user has to take responsibility,
and that's why in any booze sub-letter,
i want a notice of my legality.
it will state clear,
causality waits will be long if you consume,
infarct it must highlight that,
and that this experience will be of dark and gloom.
treat and help general accidents,
that is my sole aim,
because anyone who takes drink and drugs,
has put themselves in the A&E frame.
my idea is going to make me dollars,
i am the chief executive,
i just have to first email David,
A&E prepare, my heart will fail if he is objective.

(can my plan work ? or is there a better easier way ? love to hear some views or maybe it should be left as it is ?)

Great point joe, they are a drain on resources and the attacks on staff have risen due to them too. I would be interested to see the actual statistics for how many drink/drug affected patients are treated on a typical fri/sat night.
Maybe a separate unit could be the answer, in larger city centres.

now on TIBB message board they want me to be prime minster,
and i have never heard something so sinister.
i can not do it because i am here to serve,
i could not possible take all that money for something i dont deserve.
i am just saying it like we are all thinking,
and i am sorry if my poems turn some to drinking.
but its all fun and i just hope me you never boot,
because i love message boards, the community is at my root.

sorry just having a joke and messing with words. thanks so much for all nice words. but if anyone thinks my poems are any good or you can make sence of wht i am desperatly trying to put accross WELL YOU ARE MORE CRACKERS THEN ME LOL

its all my thought, i am the detective.

The one thing I agree with is that there maybe should be a separate part of the hospital to deal with drink and drugs related admissions to casualty. Unless someone really wants help to get sorted out then only minimal resources as to drugs and drink should be allotted to them at that time.

However,a lot of people in casualty are there because they too have abused their bodies or allow themselves to be in danger , whether it's not eating enough so ending up unconscious, or eating way too much and suffering heart complaints or because of some family domestic violence resulting in injuries and also very heavy smokers who end up with serious breathing problems.

It is not just the drinks and drugs element that causes the problems in casualty depts.

joeysteel - dont no what casualitys you go to mate but the ones i have been to and thats a good few - its the same everywgere - wake up and smell the coffe ? then again as the shops are doing there very best to promote booze it is hard to find the coffe -

anyone that ends up in casuality NOT through drink and drug abuse should be seen before the drink and drug addicts - that is what i am saying - are we in the same boat mate ?

I have a Brother who is a Doctor and 6 of my cousins are nurses, I take much of my knowledge from them as to the NHS,hospitals and casualty depts, I think they would have a greater and more balanced view of the events overall, since they are there most days all year rather than myself just taking a snapshot of the problems as to overstretched casualty depts.

We are though much in the same boat, unless it's life threatening I do think others should be seen before the drink/drugs related admissions, yes.
However I am more in line with the poster who said a different section of the hospital should be used for the drink/drugs related admissions.

If you've come out of hospital why are you still writing poems no-one likes? Clearly you need to go back.

My Mum worked in casualty years ago and always commented on the amount of people that came in that had gotten various objects stuck in certain orifices, a lot of them were repeat offenders too. I vote that these people should go to the back of the queue and their names should be announced over the hospital tannoy with a commentary of the object and where they had inserted it, to make them think twice about doing it again.

if some one has got a can of lager stuck up their arse just ask one of the drunks to remove it,hence killing two birds with one stone,
