Rubbish! if its a derogatory term get rid!! dont say it...It serves no purpose. Why would you want to reclaim something that people for so many years fought and died to shed? It makes no sense... No One should say it! We can never truly start a new chapter if the sins of the past come back to hinder any progress made......

Even in the 80's in this country, we had comedians using it all the time, and mainstrem shows using nig-nog and other variations of it. It's not really up to white people how the word is used or left behind, but I can fully see why it has become such a big part of black street culture. Know your history, Kizzy. |
