Listen Sticks,
I know you don't really intend to spread fear, anxiety, despondency and despair amongst us, your fellow posters. I know you want inject a little frisson into our discussions Perchance you wish to dilute the level of euphoria most of us feel about this relationship seeming to triumph against the odds. Perhaps you feel you are protecting us against future disappointment However, I feel I am speaking on behalf of a substantial amount of us when I say............................................... ... PUT A BLOODY SOCK IN IT!!! Let's just imagine that this relationship might work. That it has as much chance of succeeding as any other, in a world where short term gratification is king, and where one half seems intent in blowing the other half to bits. We know it's just evolution and that romance is fired by a primeval need to procreate. We know that when the shine fades the real test will come. If they are lucky, the friendship and affection they hold for one another will bolster them through the difficult times, and they will stay together. Sometimes they'll be bored, like most people in a comfortable and safe relationship. Sometimes they'll be overwhelmed with a genuine love for the very essence of each other Sometimes they'll look at each other with barely concealed hostility Just at this moment however, they probably still experience every glance with a tingle at the base of the neck, and feel a thrill of electricity with every passing touch. Let's just celebrate that with them. They will never feel more alive than they do now. They love each other, and we love them for it. The sun is shining, the earth is waking up to a new spring. Sticks, open the window of that high rise flat just enough to smell the early pollen of the woodland anemone's. Listen to the excitement of the birds, as they prepare to build a filigree of debris into a nest. even in the most hostile inner city environment. Hello has also featured many articles on happy couples with life long marriages. Spring in the air, there's magic everywhere, when you're young and in love! |

Absolutely, ROB - well said indeed.
PLEASE chill your boots, Sticks. I suggest a trip to the chemist to stock up on some happy pills! Haven't you heard of the phrase 'LOVE CONQUERS ALL' (even curses?) |

Grover said the Count had given him some spells on how to lift curses, just in case, so he can be of more use in your next upcomming mission to YKW
I never knew the count was in to Celebrity magazines |

Agreed!!! Sticks - go for a walk in the park, along a street and riverbank. Breathe in the fresh spring air and be glad to be alive. Look with wonder at the spring flowers, the buds upon the trees. Gaze, if you find any, at the little baby lambs in the field. Chill mate, chill. It's ok to be optimistic! |
