I think he did overreact towards Deana, he raised his voice and swore at her just because she said sometimes his pranks hurt her feelings, a rational person does not react like that at all.

Why would Deana need permission to speak or interject? If she had have run into the room and started ranting I would see your point but Arron was open discussion, it's not like Deana had a glass up against the door.
