The 1999-2003 wave of British singer-songwriters was horrible. Damien Rice, David Gray, Dido and Travis dominating the charts. **** right off you bland ****s.

Total bubblegum pop too - S Club, Steps, Spice Girls, Atomic Kitten, Blue, Backstreet Boys, Aqua. All occasionally fun for a bit of nostalgia, but all ultimately soulless, artless tack.

And then there was garage and R&B at the same time. Craig David. That man alone is enough to write off the early 00s.
