Pure ethanol can certainly be highly toxic, but I think he just sprayed it rather than swigged it.

Yeah I assume he did this jokingly, as a reaction to the alcohol ban (although nit funny), and the Daily Star has taken the story completely out of context and just sensationalized it for effect.
