I concede that some people play the race card where unwarranted to curry favour, but gorilla references in my experience are rarely innocent in this regard. Take for example Balotelli's recent depiction in the Italian Press as King Kong. I am a big believer that our subconscious processes are most evident when we are relaxed, and the words we choose to use at these times are often the best indicators of our true feelings.
