you have some Indian friends and a Japanese friend?! Congratulations. Doesn't mean that people from the same ethnic groups must be wrong when they try to correct offensive statements you make. You repeatedly tell us you are married and have been for 40yrs, but I am confident a poll as to who here would hypothetically like to be your life partner would open your eyes to how unattractive, angry, narrow-minded, and bilious you are coming across. I suppose acknowledging some of the present concerns may force you to evaluate previous opinions, statements and actions and this may be too difficult to face up to.

By the way, some of your posts that have no sweeping generalisations, have been measured, funny and enjoyable. That is why I bother to whinge at you and don't even bother with the other guy who eggs you on.

i didnt see this so i cant give my full view..... but if they were 'laughing' at the fact that certain cultures use their hands to eat, then well...it certainly sounds racist, and no doubt if someone who uses their hands to eat and they saw people laughing about it, they would get offended.

Having a pop at someone because their fat isn't the same as being a racist. Fat people have a choice... if Becky stopped throwing sugar and saturated fat her neck she'd lose weight, but she revels in her obesity. People cannot choose their race.

I will alert the media so they can forewarn the people of Leeds to avert their eyes.

I like to have a bet nowandagain and I would be willing to bet that if you lived in Leeds or maybe knew someone from Leeds that you could deputise and get them to meet me, I bet they would tell you I am a nice guy with a warped and dry sence of humour with loads of friends and should be in the house. You only judge me on my posts. Unlike some of the posters I love to get the juices flowing and vent in the face of the people, that to my mind, must struggle not to fall asleep at their laptops.

The Lord of the flies reference is that Becky is behaving towards others as they did Piggy in this novel. Not the other way around. I wasn't very clear.

I have nothing against your opinions about housemates, and fuel to a fire is brilliant for debate but the stereotyping and generalisations detract from the debate you wish to encourage.
For example, I like Deana and you clearly can't stand her. Were you to write "That cold-hearted calculating cow is manipulating others into behaviour that would show them up as villains to further her position as the nation's rescue puppy", I would gladly discuss this. However, were you to add on "like [enter ethnic minority here] always do to further their employability through the ridiculous concept of positive discrimination", I am no longer urged to discuss BB with you but want to discuss the generalisation you have associated with your main point. You are then left having to defend this position and the discussion ends up being about you and your views on race, gender and the like, which may not actually be how you really feel. This seems to be how a lot of threads have panned out.

Mostly we followed the rule which says that you cannot insult other forum members. It's one I think you may have missed. But still, here you are, old enough to know better and acting like a child.

I do not now and have never directly insulted another poster. I give as much as I get and within the bounds of fairness, you call me a pig I call you a cow isnt being nasty, its called tit for tat and 2 rights dont make a wrong but one right and one wrong tend to cancel eachother out. Acting like a child is defo not one of my failings, arguing with them seems to be the trend though.
