I have, however, always wondered why cigarettes are a given on any shopping list. Do non-smokers also get a "lifestyle-choice" allowance? If I were a crack addict, I wouldn't expect Becky to dip into her weekly Greggs allowance to fund my habit. Plus, when they run out of cigs, why don't they request nicotine patches which are provided on the NHS until they next get some cigs. Big brother would have to provide them as they are a form of harm-reduction.
