Just let Luke hit it when he was ready, as they'd clearly agreed! Conor was supposed to be out of it and on his way to the final. Luke was so shocked because Conor had decieved him, hence he was 'a cheating bastard'. Conor half appologised and later Luke said he was angry because he'd been 'played'.

If he wanted the money he should have answered Conor when he asked him what he wanted to do.
