At the end of that series you really felt like you learnt about 12 complex, interesting characters whereas in this series you look at who's remaining and you have no REAL connection with them because you haven't really been able to relate with them on any personal level. I know that they love casting "cut-throat" people, but it'd be much more interesting if they got a good mix of people who weren't so ruthless with the game as well.

I've noticed that over the past 3-4 seasons they've gotten well away from getting to know the actual characters of the show on the highlights shows. Like most and yourself, I loved season 2 more than any of the others. I will say that the only way to get the full experience of the US show these days is to stay tuned to the live feeds, where you do get to know the people and sort of grow with them, but it's very time consuming. The HL shows are total crap, imho.
