The reality is that he is a balding, incoherent, hypocritical has-been...from DEVON (famous for da gangsta ghetto)! Erm...innit...Some may say he would have been his loathesome self sooner if the girls he criticised so much in the show were even vaguely interested in him - but they weren't. So he had to hitch himself to a younger star (Ashley) because there is a four year Olympic build-up - so maybe he believes he will get a little reflected glory in Ashley's shadow.
