From the 'photograph your dinner thread'..... Novo's burnt toast and exploding soup .... gave me the idea for this thread.
 I've had a load of major disasters in the kitchen over the years - my worst has got to have been putting a pizza in the oven after a night on the schwally..... fell asleep, woke up at 6am to find the house covered in smoke, the cooker lid warped and the kitchen & hall needing repainted ......  . I've never really ruined anything I've cooked... I did set a chip pan on fire once (not mine) AND poured water on it. Disastrous is an understatement!

it would be more like dropping your dinner for me.
only happened a few times but its when you have taken a long time to prepare it or really looking forward to it or you are very hungry and there is nothing else left to eat.

And you're spot on: ususally it happens when you've buggr all else in the house that you fancy eating, had had a drink and can't nip out for a takeaway, or have not enough cash in the house to order a delivery.
