We have no idea of his backstory apart from those little clues they have given us, he will not be missed.

In terms of the crash I think:

Jono will die and Bart jailed or possibly dying because he is driving a car behind the bus before it crashes.

Rhys is a possibility too because they have made his character go back to being sleazy again and he has no real links to the village, it would be a shame if they killed him off because he is still one of the more popular characters in the show.

Emma's storylines are still on screen until next year, although I suspect that all these changes behind the screen were before Emma's departure was announced and have led to last minute changes or reshoots etc.

C4 definitely put pressure on Lime Pictures to improve Hollyoaks because they like the viewers want the show to improve and as it's longest running soap it shows another sign of faith from Channel 4 in Hollyoaks.

I think Emma hasn't been in charge for quite some time. The show started to feel different from Lindsey's death. I suspect BK has been the one secretly taking over.

Hollyoaks' new recruit Nikki Sanderson has confirmed that she will be sticking with the soap until at least August 2013.

The former Coronation Street actress has been cast in the role of Mitzeee Minniver's sister Maxine, who has been tipped to cause fireworks when she joins the village next month.

Sanderson told All About Soap of her Hollyoaks part: "Oh, it's very exciting. I had to keep quiet about the role for so long, which wasn't easy because I'm not the best at keeping secrets! So it's nice to be able to shout it from the rooftops now.

"Everyone's been really friendly at Hollyoaks - I'm having an absolute ball and am looking forward to the future so much."

She added: "My contract lasts up until next August, so you'll definitely be seeing a lot of Maxine on your screens."

Sanderson explained that Maxine and Mitzeee do not get along as they previously fell out over a man.

"Maxine stole Mitzeee's fiancé Gary and ran off to live with him in Spain five years ago," she said. "They haven't seen or spoken to each other since, and their relationship's more than strained.

"But Maxine is so ignorant she reckons she can swan back into Mitzeee's life and everything will be totally hunky dory."

When Maxine discovers that the late Riley Costello has left The Dog in the Pond pub to Mitzeee, it gives her an added reason to make amends with her sister - but whether they can become close again remains to be seen.


That is good news, although Hollyoaks normally do 6 months- 1 year contracts for their cast anyway so hopefully Nikki will be around longer if her character is liked by viewers.

Tony Hutchinson and Cindy Longford's lives are rocked by a shock accident on Hollyoaks next week.

The couple are currently busy making plans to tie the knot, but when Tony (Nick Pickard) heads out to visit the wedding venue, he crashes the minibus he is driving and is left injured.

This accident is separate from the more serious bus crash drama ahead on the Channel 4 soap, but it's certainly not without consequences as Tony is left in a worrying condition afterwards.

Back at home, Tony is horrified when he realises that he is losing his sight following the crash - and a frantic Cindy (Stephanie Waring) is forced to call for medical help.



Consulting a doctor, Tony is told that the loss of his sight is a result of the head trauma that he sustained during the accident.

Waiting to hear whether the problem will be permanent, Tony decides to give Cindy a chance to get out of this relationship while she can - not wanting to feel like a burden to her.

With Cindy's secret lover Rhys (Andrew Moss) putting pressure on her to run away with him, how will she react to her latest dilemma? Is it Rhys or Tony that she really wants?

'Hollyoaks' affair to be uncovered by Myra

Hollyoaks matriarch Myra McQueen discovers another big secret next week as she realises that Rhys Ashworth is cheating on her daughter Jacqui.

Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) is shocked to get a glimpse of Rhys's true colours when she spots him having a secret meeting with his lover Cindy Longford (Stephanie Waring) in an alleyway - and it's clear that the unfaithful pair have been busted.

The storyline twist comes just as Rhys (Andrew Moss) is anticipating the end of his marriage. Having spotted legal papers in Jacqui's possession, he thinks that she is planning to file for a divorce and can't help but feel relieved over it.

However, just as Rhys announces to Jacqui (Claire Cooper) that he thinks their relationship is broken, she reveals what the papers are really for - she wants to officially change her surname to Ashworth.

Not wanting her daughter to be left heartbroken, Myra soon steps into the situation by secretly threatening Rhys - warning that she'll arrange for some of her prison friends to pay him a visit if he doesn't try to make a go of things with Jacqui.

With Myra calling the shots, it seems that Rhys and Jacqui will be staying together for now - but is there any hope for their future? And will Myra really be able to keep quiet about yet another huge family secret?

Esther Bloom's bullying hell gets even worse on Hollyoaks next week as the sixth formers team up to target her with a cruel prank.

While Esther (Jazmine Franks) thinks she has finally found a friend by chatting to a girl named Rosie online, viewers will soon see that college bullies Maddie, Ruby and Sinead are behind the 'Rosie' messages - keen to make a fool out of her yet again.

Esther arranges to meet up with her online acquaintance, but as she heads out, she is startled to receive a call from a frightened 'Rosie', who claims she is being followed.

Soon afterwards, Esther is left terrified as she spots what looks like a dead body - and someone grabs her from behind…

Although it soon becomes clear that it's a sick stunt pulled by the sixth formers, Esther has already wet herself with fear, and her humiliation is yet again captured on a mobile phone camera.







Afterwards, Ruby (Anna Shaffer) is plagued with guilt over her role in the scheme, but will she ever show any loyalty to Esther?

Poor Esther. I cannot wait to see those vile teens get their comeuppance!
