Bang on. I have my favourite characters but never think that the show should revolve around them, perhaps it is because I have watched the show through the different eras.

I don't think the show should evolve around Brendan. He's just my fave character.

It is obviously to please their fans and those irritants that keep threatening to not watch the show if the writers do not bow to their demands. HO also like provoking the Stendan vs Doug thing, in all honesty I am finding that storyline too draining and annoying now.
