Cattle are bred for meat and leather is a by-product. There are all kinds of controls in this country to see that animals bred for food are kept in reasonable conditions and slaughtered in a humane fashion. I'll be the first to admit those guidelines aren't always followed, but I believe things are improving. The fur trade however is something quite different. Some animals and skinned while they are still alive, wild animals are trapped in such a way the wire cuts down to their bone and they could be left there for days before they are collected... Agreed, and I am surprised she is freely laying herself open to mass outrage, I thought Gaga had more savvy than that. I love her music, but the meat dress also was way inappropriate.
